Performing standup comedy can be really, really scary. But learning how to do it doesn't have to be.

Our workshops offer a supportive and relaxed environment to test out new ideas, sharpen your material and develop your unique comedic voice.

For beginners we offer a five week course covering the basics. You'll learn about writing material, creating an onstage persona, gig etiquette and more.

 

Rule number one at Coven is that nobody is put on the spot - you'll never be asked to do anything you're not comfortable with, and if you're the type who prefers to stay quiet in a group - well that's just fine!

 

Comedy is a collaborative discipline, and a group setting is the perfect place to help each other learn and improve.

In Summer 2024 we're launching Coven Summer School, a series of one-off focussed workshops for more experienced comedians to work on their material and develop their performance in a collaborative setting.
